The Journey from The Hedgehogs Maths Club to EduArt Maths

Maths doesn’t just live in exercise books, on whiteboards, or inside classroom walls.

It’s all around us, in the way we shop, create, plan, and make decisions every day.

At The Hedgehogs Maths Club, this belief was at the heart of everything we did.

Today, that same vision has grown and evolved into something even more powerful: EduArt Maths.

Where It All Began

The Hedgehogs Maths Club started with a simple but meaningful goal: to make maths feel less intimidating and more enjoyable for every child.

One key milestone was February 2022, when the club expanded its sessions, welcoming more children and introducing hands-on activities that made maths tangible, interactive, and fun.

We created a safe, welcoming space where children could:

• Learn at their own pace

• Ask questions without fear

• Build confidence step by step

And along the way, something amazing happened…

Maths stopped being just a subject ... it became an experience.

Maths Beyond the Classroom

At EduArt Maths, we go far beyond textbooks. We believe children learn best when they can see, touch, and experience maths in real life.

🧠 Creative Maths

Maths meets imagination. Through games, puzzles, and art-inspired activities, children explore patterns, shapes, and problem-solving in fun and engaging ways.

💰 Financial Education Maths

We teach the maths that truly matters in everyday life:

• Understanding money

• Budgeting

• Making smart spending decisions

From managing pocket money to comparing prices, children build real confidence with numbers they’ll use forever.

🛒 Real-Life Maths Experiences

We don’t just teach maths ... we live it.

Our sessions include hands-on experiences such as:

• Shopping challenges at places like Lidl

• Budgeting for ingredients or items

• Restaurant visits to calculate totals, costs, and change

These experiences help children connect maths to real-world decisions in a meaningful way.

Tutoring with Purpose

We continue to support school learning through structured tutoring, helping children strengthen key maths skills ...always focusing on confidence, not pressure.
